ANNE F.JOSEPH GRADUATED FROM RANDOLPH HIGHSCHOOL,AT AGE 16 IN 1935.SHE GRADUATED FROM BRIDGEWATER STATE COLLEGE IN 1939 WITH AN BACHELOR OF EDUCATION DEGREE.SHE CONCENTRATF IN SCIENCE AND MATH ALONG WITH EDUCATION.SHE RECEIVED HER MASTER OF EDUCATION DEGREE FROM BRIDGEWATER STATE COLLEGE JUST BEFORE SHE RETIRED.SHE RETIRED IN 1982 FROM WHITMAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AFTER TEACHING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE GURNEY,HOLT AND FOREST STREET SCHOOLS.SHE WAS OBSERVED BY HER PRINCIPALS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND RECEIVED EXTREMELY HIGH MARKS FOR HER TEACHING.SHE WOULD NOT LET CHILDREN MAKE FUN OF OTHERS. SHE HAD ANIMALS IN CONTAINERS IN THE CLASSROOM AND THEY WERE FED AND WATERF AND KEPT CLEAN AND DRY.ONE YEAR SHE REPRESENTED THE WHITMAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AT A MEETING IN FLORIDA.EVERY FRIDAY SHE MADE OUT HER PLAN FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND HAD IT CHECKED BY THE PRINCIPAL.EVERY NIGHT AND MORNING SHE CORRECTED THE READING WORKBOOKS,WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS AND MATH PAPERS.SHE WOULD EAT LUNCH IN THE LUNCH ROOM FOR ONE HALF HOUR WITH THE OTHER TEACHERS. SHE HAD FIELD TRIPS TO THE BOSTON MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND THE HARVARD MUSEUM IN CAMBRIDGE.SHD TAUGHT THE BASICS TO CHESS TO A FEW STUDENTS.ALL THE STUDENTS LIKED HER. |
