| About | Parker W. Gray Parker Whitney Gray, 65, formerly of Winchester and Lexington, died Dec.15 at Cape Cod Hospital after a short illness. Son of the late Everett Whitney Gray, Esq. and Florence Chippindale Gray, he was born in Winchester, MA. He graduated from Winchester High School in 1961, and attended Boston University. In 1968, he was drafted into the United States Army and served as a member of 25th Infantry in Vietnam. Promoted to rank of Sergeant, he received numerous combat service commendations including the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and the Bronze Star. After the war, he had a successful career in finance with Chrysler Credit Corporation and the Bank of Boston. In 2001, he moved to Eastham, MA and enjoyed several years of retirement, fishing, clamming, and beachcombing on Cape Cod. Mr. Gray is survived by a son, Scott Whitney Gray of Upton, MA and daughter Jinnette Thurston Howard, of Natick, MA; his sister, Cindy Gray Pidacks of Marlborough, MA; his nephew, Lee Whitney Pidacks of Hampden, Maine; and his longtime companion, Gaille "Gretchen" Anderson of Charlestown, MA. |
