About | The Hoaglund family is deeply saddened by the loss of their son and brother Jonah William Hoaglund. Jonah’s sudden death was caused by a fatal car accident on Saturday August 25, 2007. Jonah was born on April 27, 1983 in Petoskey, MI. the son of Neal and Laurie (Adams) Hoaglund. The oldest of six boys, he grew up in Boyne City and graduated from Boyne City High School in 2001. He attended North Central Michigan College and was currently taking online classes from the Division of the Art Institute of Pittsburg Pennsylvania. He was employed as a graphic specialist at Industrial Magnetics of Boyne City, MI. for the past two years. Jonah was artistically gifted at designing web pages as well as other artistic qualities on the computer. He enjoyed writing and his family will remember the beautiful blessings he wrote for the holiday gatherings. Jonah's other hobbies also included rollerblading, tennis, and reading. He had a gentle demeanor a love for children. He wore an ongoing smile and had a gift of humor. Jonah could always make you laugh. Jonah is survived by his parents Neal and Laurie Hoaglund, five brothers Isaac, Jacob, Elijah, Lucas, and Seth. Grandparents Jerry and Nancy Adams and Bice Hoaglund. Aunts and Uncles Dave and Robin Bricker, Peter and Leasa Friedrich, Karen Morrison, Rich and Donna Looze, Pat and Beth Anzel, Bill and Kristin Hoaglund, Susan Norris, Lynn Jenks, John Hoaglund, and 34 cousins. Also surviving are special friends Jessi Brown and Dawn Scanlan among many others that are close to his heart. Jonah was preceded in death by a grandfather Neal Hoaglund, two uncles Herb Hoaglund and Denny Morrison. Visitation will be Tuesday August 28, from 5:00- 8:00 pm. at the Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am. Wednesday August 29, at St. Matthews Catholic church in Boyne City. |
