Joyce Michelle Olajos, born May 19, 1969, in Flint, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2023. Services honoring Joyce will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 203 East First North St., Laingsburg, MI 48848. Fr. Mark Seitsema from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will celebrate the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Joyce's radiant spirit and loving nature will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Joyce was the cherished wife of Robert Olajos and the devoted mother of Tiffany Hawkins, Elizabeth (Eddie) Flores, Nicholas (Allyse) Olajos, Nadia Olajos, and Zoltan Olajos. She was also a doting grandmother to six grandchildren. She was the beloved sister of Suzanne Tadajewski, Anastasia (Michael) Tadajewski, Julia (Matthew) Page, William (Mary) Paraschos, and George (Katie) Paraschos. Joyce's nieces and nephews, Marisa, Samantha, and Alexander Tadajewski and Sam and Ashley Page, held her in special regard. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Peter and Judith Ann (Newville) Paraschos, and her brother-in-law, Michael Tadajewski.

Joyce was a proud graduate of Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1987, later earning her degree in cosmetology from the Hair Force Academy. She furthered her education at Lansing Community College, where she earned an associate's degree. Joyce was a lifelong learner, always eager to expand her knowledge and skills.

Her professional life spanned over 20 years in the banking industry, where she took pride in serving the community. Joyce was a dedicated worker, often going above and beyond to assist her clients. Her colleagues admired her for her commitment and reliability.

Joyce was passionate about the safety and well-being of all animals. She had a soft spot for even those creatures that others might consider nuisance pests. Her love for animals was a testament to her kind and compassionate nature. Joyce loved her beautiful dog, Gus who will miss his daily companion and the countless snuggles he received. Joyce also had a love for the color purple and beautiful white flowers. Her vibrant personality was reflected in her colorful choices.

Joyce loved watching movies and had a unique talent for reciting movies verbatim, including the accents used. This talent always brought laughter and joy to family gatherings. She was loving, smart, and funny, lighting up any room she entered. She would even catch the attention of all around her with her loud contagious laughter; people running to find out what could be so funny. It was the simple things in life that brought her joy. Her spirited nature and quick wit were among the many qualities that made Joyce so special.

Joyce Michelle Olajos was a beacon of love, laughter, and spirited interests. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest among the saints and the righteous, and may her memory of love be eternal.
