| About | Betty M. Bergmann, 61 Betty M. Bergmann, 61, of Charlevoix, died June 26, 1991, at Northern Michigan Hospital, Petoskey. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at the Winchester Funeral Home, Charlevoix. The Rev. James D. Green of the Bible Baptist Church in Charlevoix will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix. The former Betty M. Evers was born March 6, 1930, in Detroit, the daughter of William and Mildred (Taylor) Evers. She moved to Charlevoix in 1944 and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1948. On Sept. 1, 1949, she married Alfred E. Bergmann in Charlevoix. They have always resided in Charlevoix. Mrs. Bergmann worked as a telephone operator for Michigan Bell in Charlevoix and later worked as a home sewer for Paul Reed-Weather Shield Sports Equipment Inc. in Charlevoix for 15 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Charlevoix. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Beth S. Sommerfeld of Charlevoix; two sons, William Bergmann and his wife, Barb, of Van Nuys, Calif., and Allen Bergmann and his wife, Sabine, of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Henley. The family suggests memorials to the Charlevoix County Humane Society.
