About CHARLEVOIX-Services for Clarence B. Meggison, 73, former state representative for the Charlevoix district, who died Oct, 4 at Charlevoix Hospital where he had been a patient for two days, were held Saturday at the Winchester Funeral Home. Rev. Leona Winegarden officiated and burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Mr. Meggison had been in failing health for several years.

Born in Charlevoix, September 13, 1894, he attended Charlevoix schools and Michigan State University.
He was a veteran of World War I and member and past commander of the Leslie T. Shapton Post No. 226, of the American Legion.

He attended the First Meth- odist Church.

Manager of the Charlevoix Cooperative from 1923 to 1932 he then served as the Charlevoix postmaster from 1932 to 1936. He served as friend of the court, 13th, judicial circuit from 1941 until 1954; state representative from 1954 until 1962; a member of the Charlevoix county board of supervisors serving Charlevoix's Third Ward for many years; member and past chairman of the Charlevoix County Republican Committee and a charter member of the Charlevoix Kiwanis Club. He also served on the Charlevoix Board of Education.

He is survived by his wife, the former Sadie Bedell, whom he married in Flint April 6, 1921; a son, Donald B., of Charlevoix; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth L. (Frances) Wilson, of Birmingham, Mrs. Jack (Beth) DeWildt, of Wyoming and Mrs. James (Faye) Alger, of Charlevoix; three sisters, Mrs. Grant Mudge, of Eastport, Mns, Theodore Gravelin, of South San Gabriel, Calif. and Mrs, Laverne E. McGhan, of Charlevoix and 17 grandchildren..
