About | News of the death of Earl E. Miller, 92, retired rural mail carrier, at McMinnville, Tenn., Saturday has been received here. He had been living in the south with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Radle, for the past two years. The body will be returned to the Winchester Funeral Home for funeral services, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Msgr. Victor Gallagher, of Cheboygan, will officiate and interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Born in Charlevoix to one of this community’s early families in November, 1882, Mr. Miller was graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1902 and from the University Michigan in 1906. He joined the U.S. Postal Service prior to World War I to become one of Charlevoix’s first rural carriers. He served Route 1 south and west of here from then until 1951. In 1915 he married to the former Margaret Donlevy who preceded him in death in April 1974. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Radle of McMinnville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and three great grand-children. Petoskey News-Review Petoskey, Michigan · Monday, November 25, 1974 |
