Marie died in 1948. In 1963, Ed married Jane Bishaw and they had two sons, Edward Jeffrey and William Thomas. His love of travel and history took him to many ports of call, but his gift of working with people kept him in the chair behind the desk at the Alano Club, which placed him as manager in 1986 when the Alano Club Serenity House opened its door. He was so thankful for his 37 years of sobriety, but his greatest joy was knowing the club and its members were able to assist in helping individuals succeed in turning their lives around and becoming alcohol/drug-free one day at a time. He will be greatly missed by all who called on him for his wisdom, his knowledge of Charlevoix history and his incredible ability to tell a story. He leaves behind a family that loved him so deeply and who will miss him so very much and that are so grateful he was a true friend and follower of "Bill W."Ed is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Heise Warner (Larry E.), of Petoskey; sons, E.
