| About | OBITUARY Mrs. Peter Vandermade Mrs. Peter Vandermade passed away June 22 in Toledo, Ohio, where she had lived the past two years. She resided in Detroit for many years, was past president of the Detroit Women's Writers Club, and life long member of the First Congregational Church. She and her husband spent their retirement years in Lake Worth, Florida. Mrs. Vandermade was born January 29, 1884, in Charlevoix, Michigan, daughter of Fronia Anne and Andrew Cruikshank. Mrs. Vandermade was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Silsbee of Toledo, Ohio; Jean Wetzler of Ida, Michigan, and Virginia May of Lake Worth, Florida; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren The family requests any memorials sent to the American Cancer Society. |
