About | Glenn R. Snider passed away at home in Charlevoix, Michigan on September 29, 2024. Glenn was the son of Glenn B. and Constance Snider. He graduated from Charlevoix High School and Michigan Technological University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He went directly to work for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and stayed with the company through various name changes (Rockwell International, Rockwell Collins, etc.) doing some mysterious defense work involving communication design for military jets. Glenn was very proud of the three patents he and his group were awarded for their work. Glenn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary: his sister Nancy (James Labiak) of Kirkland, WA, and their daughter Kathryn Labiak (Mark Adams) of Edmonds, WA: his brother in-law Chris Campbell of Charlevoix, MI and Chris’ son, Thomas Campbell and daughter Barbara Schifanelli: and his aunt, Virginia Watson of Sun City Center, Florida. Glenn has requested no service. Those wishing to honor Glenn should do so to the very best their health allows. Go ride motorcycles, become a HAM operator, take pictures of orchids you grow and frame them but don’t buy a boat. They can be a headache! The family requests no flowers. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix, MI. Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel or Mortensen Funeral Homes. Please sign his online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Glenn Richard Snider, please visit our flower store. |
