| About | Lylas Swick Obituary Swick, Lylas I. (Hardy) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Friday, May 16, 2008. Age 85 years. Lylas Ila Hardy was born December 1, 1922 in Charlevoix, MI to Jud and Edith (Miller) Hardy. She was a 1941 graduate of Charlevoix High School. She married Donald Swick on April 2, 1949. He preceded her in death in Sepember 1965. Mrs. Swick was a member of First Baptist Church in Saginaw, and it's choir. Surviving are two sons and one daughter; Timothy (Kimberly) Swick of Allan Park, MI; Darlene (Daniel) Reikowsky of Linwood, MI; Douglas Swick of Saginaw; Nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, her twin sister Lyla (Late Earl) Bamberg, her sisters in law Alice and Lucille Hardy, Richard (Jean) Hardy, and many other loving family members and friends. Lylas was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Bessie Burgess, Maude Mason, Marie (John) Markstrom, Claire (Don) Yocum, Gerald and Charles Hardy. Funeral service will take place 1 p.m. Monday , May 19, 2008 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S. Midland Rd. (M-47). Rev. Donald Verner will officiate. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Sunday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
