| About | Mark Sidney Blanchard, 71 of Boyne Falls, Michigan, passed away June 1, 2024. Born April 10, 1953, in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Burr and Florence Blanchard. Mark graduated from Charlevoix High School, and after graduation he joined the Navy where he spent months out to sea in a submarine. After returning to Charlevoix, he then decided to attend Western University for tech training and then moved on to finishing at a HVAC tech school. He eventually headed back home to help out on the family farm and work for Manthei Veneer Mill until about 2017. Mark is survived by his brothers Ross (Laurie) Blanchard of California and Scott Blanchard of Charlevoix; nephews Benjamin (Jennifer) Blanchard, Nicholas (Judy) Blanchard, and Travis Batten; nieces Carolyn Zipp, Kristine (Aaron) Murdick, Kelli (Derrick) Blanchard, Carrie (Grant) Meggison, and Sarah Blanchard; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Also, sister-in-law Margaret (Rudy) Cuss. He was preceded in death by his parents Burr and Florence Blanchard; brother Owen Blanchard; and sister-in-law Debra Blanchard. No services are planned at this time, a small family and friends gathering will take place at interment. Arrangements are in the care of Stackus Funeral Home. |
