| About | Oliver Henry Johnson, 63, of Charlevoix, died Dec. 21, 1992, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey. Private family service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. Pastor Robert Bellairs of the Barnard United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in Barnard Cemetery, Mari- on Township. He was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Charlevoix, the son of Oliver Earl and Verna (Block) Johnson. He attended the Barnard School and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1947. Mr. Johnson worked as a machinist in the area. He married Doris M. Dawm in December 1955 in East Jordan and she survives. He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Linda Johnson of Charlevoix, and Laura Johnson of Grand Ledge; one son, Thomas Burns and his wife Georgia Lusk of Neenah, Wis.; one granddaughter, Kirstin Burns of Neenah; one sister, Mrs. Les (Phyllis) Anderson of Fountain, Mich.; two brothers, Paul Johnson and his wife Gladys of East Jordan, and Martin Johnson of Royal Oak. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nuel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. |
