Tami Lynn Noirot Rost Obituary (1962 - 2021)

Graduation Year Class of 1980
Date of Birth Jul 31, 1962
Date of Passing Sep 05, 2021
About Beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, and aunt, Tami (Noirot) Rost's zest for life and deep love of her family and friends will live on. Tami passed away of complications from cancer on September 5, 2021, at the age of 59, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living each day to the fullest as she advised them to do. Tami is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Noirot. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Thomas Rost, sons John Rost, Alex Rost (daughter-in-law Sarah Rost), father Alva Noirot, seven siblings, and twenty-eight nieces and nephews.

Tami's love for her family and friends was evidenced by the commitment and support for her boys' well-being and happiness, leading the Cub Scout troop, the myriad of parties she hosted, the beautiful family photos displayed in her home, the vacations and trips she planned, the time she spent with all of her nieces and nephews, and the strong partnership she had with her husband. Her family and friends were truly the most important things in the world to her. She collected lifelong friends all over the country, raising her kids in Kansas and then Minnesota. Anyone who knew Tami, knows that she was always "hostess with the mostest" , the life of the party, the ultimate organizer, and the perpetual planner. (She was known as the mayor of Tami Tent Town!)

Some of the simple beauties of life brought Tami great joy. She loved the beach in any form. She loved sandy ocean beaches as well as the rocky beaches of Lake Michigan and shallow waters of Lake Charlevoix, where she grew up. Tubing from her boat on Bald Eagle Lake was one of the activities she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends. In fact, anything that brought a group of people together laughing and enjoying each others' company was something Tami loved most.

A celebration of Tami's life will be held at a later date in Kansas, Minnesota, and Charlevoix, Michigan.
