About | Colin James Willis, 24, of Mt. Clemens, MI passed away unexpectedly on March 6th 2021. Colin was born on May 25th, 1996 in Royal Oak, MI and grew up in Clinton Twp. He was the beloved son of Pat and Cyndi Willis, and brother to Erin. He was preceded in death by his older brother Ben. Colin is survived by his maternal grandma Mary Ann Gabridge and paternal grandma Joan (Don) Mentzer. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Jim Willis and his grandpa Steve Gabridge. He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Colin loved playing hockey, football, skateboarding and fishing especially at Houghton Lake. He was an amazing self-taught guitar player winning many awards for hockey and with his band, Nuthin’ Toxic. He loved listening to rock and rap and playing video games. When he was 3 years old he played Super Mario Bros. for 8 hours straight without stopping until he beat the game. Colin graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 2014 earning good grades with not much effort at all. He was extremely bright from an early age and started reading when he was 2 years old. Even from a young age he was a sports trivia fanatic knowing facts especially pertaining to the Detroit Red Wings and U of M Football. If you asked Colin trivia it truly was amazing that he was almost always right. Colin had many close friends and was there when they needed cheering up or cheering on. He was especially close to his sister, Erin, and her boyfriend, Kendall. He was looking forward to seeing her graduate from Grand Valley State University this spring and was excited at the prospect of attending Northern Michigan University where he had recently been accepted. A burial/memorial service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery located at 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp on June 5th at 1pm (time subject to change) with a luncheon at Roger’s Roost at 3pm and is located at 33626 Schoenherr Rd, Sterling Heights. |
