About | Timothy and Melinda Roe Obituary Timothy James Roe and Melinda "Lori" Lorraine (Carpenter) Roe, from Galesburg, MI. Tim and Lori Roe died in an instant on Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2013. Tim was born February 14, 1964 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was the son of James T. and Lynn M. (Crowner) Roe. Lori was born May 5, 1964 in Battle Creek, MI. She was the daughter of Vern and Judy (Lanham) Carpenter. Tim graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1982. Lori graduated from Climax-Scotts High School in 1982 also. Tim and Lori were married July 5, 1986. Their two sons, James C. (Lacie) Roe and Jeremiah S. (Renee) Roe, survive them. Tim spent his work days doing what he loved, driving trucks. He started at Woolf Excavating. Then he worked at Snyder Sand and Gravel and James E. Fulton & Sons Excavating. Last, he worked at H.J. Deaton & Sons for 19 years. Lori lived for her family and friends. They had a big circle of friends in which they enjoyed sharing their life. "Roper" and "Babysitter" went everywhere together. They both loved sports. Tim played football in school and Lori played softball. They loved to play golf together and Wii Bowling. They were the proud grandparents to Paige, Jonathan, Carter, Jayden and Brooklynn. Tim loved to sing and do Karaoke. He loved his family and friends and was not afraid to show and tell them. They will be missed by everyone. Tim and Lori are survived by their parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Tim leaves behind two sisters Suzi K. (Jamie) Garrett and Sandi J. ( Steve) Champion. Lori leaves behind nine siblings Jodie C. Carpenter, Kris K. Carpenter, Pat M. Carpenter, Brenda G. (John) Lowe, Theresa M. (Rich) Carpenter, John H. Carpenter, Lorena I. Carpenter, and Cody N. Carpenter. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Tim and Lori's name to the Women's Auxiliary or Dad's V.F.W. in Augusta, MI. Tim and Lori were members of this V.F.W. Family and Friends can attend Tim and Lori's memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at the First Congregational Church of Christ in Galesburg on the corner of Battle Creek Street and Church Street. A celebration of their life will follow immediately after the service at the V.F.W. in Augusta, Mi. |
