About Tustin - Gary Elden Nostrant, of Tustin passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Munson Medical Center. He was 82.

Gary was born at home, on the family farm, on June 9, 1941, in Remus, Michigan to parents Dae Nostrant and Marjorie Sniff. The family relocated to Haslett where he graduated with the 1960 class of Haslett High School. Gary proudly enlisted and served in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1964. On August 24, 1963, he married Floy Kellogg in Hannibal, NY.

Gary made his living for 36 years at the Lansing General Motors plant and retired with Floy to Tustin in 2000. Gary spent over 50 years as a member of four different Masonic Lodges: Diamondale, Cadillac, Lake City and Luther/Lakes. Gary spent years as a Shriner dedicating his time to coordinating and driving children to the Shriners Hospital in Chicago. He was also part of the Sherman Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and volunteered at the NW Osceola Food Pantry in Tustin. Gary truly enjoyed his time mentoring students at Forest View Elementary in Cadillac. He and Floy have been active and faithful members of the Tustin Covenant Church. He will be deeply missed by many.

Gary is survived by his wife, Floy, of Tustin; daughters, Sheila (Van) Bosman of Cadillac and Marcia Perez of Tustin; four grandchildren, Austin (Nicole) Perez, Amelia Perez, Erin (Leif) Bosman, and Adam Bosman; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert; brothers-in-law, Warren and Lyle (Rosemary); sisters-in-law, Janet and Linda, as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Memorial services will be held at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home, at a later date in April 2024. Memorial contributions may be directed to Saladin Shriner Children’s Trust, 233 Fulton St., Suite 102, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
