Obituary of John Floyd Feltenberger
John Floyd Feltenberger was a 50-year resident of Moreno Valley, California. John was born in Denver, Colorado on August 18, 1942 and passed on December 7, 2024.
John graduated from East Lansing High School in 1960. John served in the Air Force from 1960- 1980, retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his time in the Air Force, John served two tours in Thailand and retired at March Air Force Base. John joined the Ontario Police Department in 1980 and retired in 2000. John also taught Criminal Justice at Riverside Community College from 1989-1993. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Riverside Community College and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State San Bernardino.
John was an avid reader and enjoyed doing stitchery. He loved mystery movies and listening to music; however, his first love was his family. Conversations with his children always included sage advice—even if the advice wasn’t recognized in the moment. Although an introvert at heart, John had the innate ability to connect with everyone in any situation. This ability helped him as a police officer and at home as a husband and a father. John was universally loved by everyone with many of his children’s friends calling him “dad” to this day. John will be tremendously missed.
