About Age 74, of Haslett, passed away March 27, 2012. She was born December 13, 1937, in East Lansing, a daughter of Bernice and Emily Hause. Marge was an Avon distributor for over 30 years, and she volunteered with the March of Dimes. She had been a Boy Scout Den Mother, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, HELO Club, and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Marge was an avid golfer and bowler.

Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, Fred; sons, James (Susan Kim) Kane of Lansing and Thomas (Stacy) Kane of Williamston; daughters, Tracey (Frank, III) Frati of Hot Springs Village, AR and Suzzanne (Rick Conner) Kane of Lansing; 7 grandchildren, Frankie IV, Ian, Eric, Harley, Emma, Allison and Ashleigh; brother, Russell (Sherri) Hause of Grand Haven; sisters, Betty (Kenneth) Gearhart of Waverly, IL and Grace (Harry) Thompson of Charlotte; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, as well as her dog, Daisy Mae. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lois Hause. Marge's family wishes to express a special "thank you" to some staff members at Sparrow Hospital, including, Alissa, Jessi, Deb, Shannon, Lynnsilee and Yolanda.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd, East Lansing, with The Rev. Fr. Mark Inglot as celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow in the mausoleum at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, where the Rosary will be prayed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Marjorie Kane.
