About | Robert Lee Chick, a resident of Mason, MI, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on July 12, 1943, in Lansing, MI, to John and Donna (Ellsworth) Chick. Robert spent his youth in Haslett, graduating with the class of 1962. On March 28, 1964, he married his beloved wife Sharon, and together they were blessed with two children. Robert dedicated himself to his work at Oldsmobile, retiring as a metal press operator after 30 years of service. Outside of work, he found joy in bowling, participating in leagues at Gold Star in Williamston, City Limits in Mason, and Royal Scott in Lansing. His love for the sport extended to traveling for tournaments across Michigan. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and rarely missed his grandchildren’s sporting events or extracurricular activities. Robert cherished his extensive circle of friends, often gathering for meals and outings. He also found delight in attending the Ingham County Fair, tractor shows, and annually partaking in the Labor Day Mackinac Bridge walk. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Sharon Chick. He is survived by his children, Steve (Melisa) Chick and Susan (Gary) Crandall; grandchildren, Kelsey, Kristi, Jacey, Julian, Jude, Sage, Ava, Wyatt, and Ella; great-grandchild, Layne; and sister, Marilyn Noble.
