| About | Kurt Heckmann September 29, 2025 · It is with a sad heart that I announce the passing of my youngest brother Ross Heckmann. He passed into the presence of God and His Savior, Jesus Christ at @ 6 am today, Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Huntington Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Pasadena, California. He was taken there by ambulance from a long-term care facility in Pasadena early this morning due to his deteriorating condition. Ross was diagnosed in January 2025 with an unusual and aggressive form of cancer in his knee that metastasized to his lungs. Chemotherapy had little or no effect on the cancer. He was recently hospitalized at USC Arcadia Hospital with shortness of breath, transferred to Kaiser Hospital in Baldwin Park for follow up, and finally transferred to Camellia Care Gardens for hospice care. Funeral plans to be announced. Your prayers are appreciated for Ross’ wife Tami of Arcadia, California, and for me Kurt of Vallejo California, and my two other brothers: Brian of Los Angeles, and Reed of Canton, Georgia over the loss of one so dear. |
