About | Clifford Edward Gracey, beloved father, brother, and partner, passed away in his home on July 5, 2021. He was 68 years old. Cliff was born on July 17, 1952, to the late LeRoy and Ruth Gracey. Raised in Bloomfield Hills, MI, Cliff graduated from Lahser High School and spent his life bringing joy and kindness to his community and to his many life-long friends around Metro Detroit. Among his many talents, Cliff was a brilliant musician and music producer who traveled around the country playing shows – and bringing smiles – to his many audiences. He was a private pilot who shared his passion for aviation with his son, Kyle; A soccer coach and team manager who helped shape the lives of a generation of players in Bloomfield; and most importantly, he was a wonderful role model for his son, nieces, nephews and family. Cliff was never one to steal the spotlight, and always the first to heap praise on those around him. He was a spiritual man who believed in God, which was evident in the way he carried himself and in how he treated others. If you were fortunate enough to meet Cliff — whether it be at the Ark in Ann Arbor after he finished a show with Josh White Jr., in the stands at a Lahser soccer game, behind the scenes at Arts Beats and Eats (where he probably gave you a few of his extra food & drink tickets), or countless other locations around the area — you know his heart was full of kindness and compassion. He was always cracking jokes and sharing laughs with those around him. Clifford Gracey was the proud father of Kyle Gracey, the dear brother of Judith Gracey and the late Darryl Gracey, as well as the beloved partner to Thea Crowley. Cliff also leaves behind loving nieces, Carolyn and Jessica Gracey, and nephew Anthony Gracey. Cliff will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. |
