| About | Frederick “Fritz” Louis Krueger beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband and friend died at 89. Fritz was an amazing top Athlete at Melvindale High School - where he lettered in varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball. He was inducted into the MHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. He went to the University of Michigan where he played football for the Wolverines and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he made lifelong friends. He was a proud graduate of the Class of 1958. He went on to get his Master’s degree at the University of New Mexico. He graduated in1964. Fritz loved being a Wolverine season ticket holder and hosted many tailgates where old friends and new would show up to watch his team! He even has a Brick at the Big House! He travelled all over the state of Michigan working for Franklin Life Insurance (American General). He was elected to the Melvindale/Northern Allen Park School board. He was an active member of Melvindale United Methodist Church and later at St. Timothy’s Church in Trenton, MI. Fritz always had a quick joke or a kind word for everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family. His loving wife Patricia, his siblings, Sally Wilson, Jon (Karen), and Christian Krueger; his children Rochelle (John Braca) and Kurt (Barbara), proud Grandfather of Spenser(Grabow), Dr. Christopher Krueger, Dan Krueger; Gianna(Alex), Tori and Nina Braca. His extended family included Kathleen, Kevin (Lisa), Carrie (Kevin), Anndy, Peter “Marty”(Karen) and Bridget Connors and he loved his Step-Grandchildren Jacob (Julia), Claire, Kellie, Sarah, Charlie and Great grand baby Gianna. He is adored by his many Nieces, Nephews, cousins, and friends. Fritz loved all sports and knew all the strategies to win, the rules to play by, and even rooted for the other team if they made a great play. He was our leader, cheerleader and just the BEST! His memory and spirit lives on by all the people he touched. June 24th 1935- August 15th,2024.
