Surber, Steven L. Age 39, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly due to a fall on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Portland, Maine. He is survived by his much beloved family, parents, Lynn and Vickie Surber of Jackson; two sisters, Dawn (LeRoy) Schiller of Leslie and Moneach (John) Berro of Lake LeAnn; a "great" uncle to three nephews and one niece, Zachary and Parker Schiller, Braiden and Marrisa Berro; aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends. Steve was a 1994 graduate of Napoleon High School. Enjoying music, he was drummer in band and played with the Lions All-State Band, travelling to China to perform at the Lions Club International Convention. He later played with a local band, "The Fat Rabbit". Steve enjoyed time on the lake, golf, camping and fishing with family and friends. He was at home in the air, earning both his private and commercial pilot licenses. Steve worked many years in sales with Dorothy Dawson Foods in Jackson and Atlanta. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to Celebrate Steve's life will be held at Heart O' The Lakes Church, 7031 Jefferson Road, Brooklyn, MI 49230 on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Matt Coppess officiating. Family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am. |
