| About | We are saddened to inform you that on Monday, August 28, 2023, Jim Guilbaultpassed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. Jim’s passing has left a hole in the world that will never be filled, but the people who had the luxury of knowing him will always treasure his memory and look back on him with fondness. Jim was not simply a respected educator at Necedah High School in WIsconsin, but also a generous and thoughtful person whose influence extended well beyond the four walls of the classroom. The characteristics of his brilliant career were his unyielding commitment to the education of his students and his unflinching interest in expanding his own knowledge base. His influence was felt far beyond the confines of the academic world, and he left an everlasting mark on the lives of countless people. Judy, Jim’s wife, was by his side during their voyage, and she stated that she would like to commemorate his memory by soliciting contributions to the Necedah Alumni Scholarship fund. Judy was by his side the entire time. This thoughtful act will ensure that Jim’s legacy will continue to contribute to the education of future generations; it is an appropriate way to pay respect to a man who devoted his entire life to education and teaching. According to Jim’s instructions, there will be no funeral or memorial service, nor will an obituary be published. Instead, his family and friends will remember him in their own unique way, holding dear the experiences and life lessons that he shared with them throughout the course of their relationships with him. The departure of Jim Guilbault signals the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to be felt by all those who had the privilege of calling him a friend and colleague throughout their lives. As we ponder his life and the significant impact he had on the world of academia, we would like to offer our most sincere condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers.
