About | Paul Joseph DuHamel of Oscoda passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at Lakeview Manor Healthcare in Tawas City, age 89 years. Paul was born on March 27, 1925 in Grand Rapids to Paul W. and Gladys (Snyder) DuHamel. After high school, he attended Michigan State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He continued his education at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Master's degree in education. Paul taught chemistry and physics at Oscoda High School for 31 years. He married Jean Fenner in Alma on Sept. 20, 1947. They were a happily married couple and celebrated 67 beautiful years of marriage. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed organic gardening and woodworking. He and Jean enjoyed trips to Montana and winters in Florida with their friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Jean DuHamel of Oscoda; children, Peter J. (Dana) DuHamel of Fort Collins, Colo. and Mark N. (Michele) DuHamel of Stow, Ohio and their children, Jessica Anne DuHamel of Cleveland, Ohio and Grant Matthew DuHamel of Columbus, Ohio, and many dear friends.
