About | ADRIAN — David Michael McComb, 66, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Adrian, to Chester and Doris (Sayers) McComb. Dave graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1958. He enlisted in the United States Army right after he graduated and was discharged in 1960. On April 10, 1964, he was married to Pat Davis who survives. Dave was a Journeyman Plumber and Pipe Fitter from 1965 to 2002 and was employed by Local Union 333. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Adrian. Dave and Pat enjoyed spending time in the Smokey Mountains. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jim (Peggy) of Jackson, Steve (Sheryl) of Adrian, Scott (Erica) of Adrian; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kristen, Geoffrey, Alicia and Jessica. Also surviving are his mother, Doris McComb of Fairfield; two sisters Marlene (Glenn) Gardner of Windermere, Fla., and Judy (Jerry) Wilson of Minneapolis, Minn.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Al and Jo Kennedy of Tecumseh; and two beloved pets, Sammy and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester McComb, and his grandparents. Funeral services for Dave will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Services will be conducted by Pastor David Fulks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or the American Heart Association.
