| About | Obit-Gladys Caroline Green-Wednesday, November 29, 2006 6:41 PM Gladys Caroline Green SAND CREEK Gladys Caroline Green, age 86, of Sand Creek, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Bixby Medical Center. She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Henry County to Charles and Martha (Groll) Smith. She was married to Robert Green on June 25, 1937. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2005. Gladys had been employed by the Adrian Girls Training School, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Morenci. Gladys is survived by two sons, Robert Green and his wife, Carol, of Brighton, Mich., and Kenneth Green and his wife, Trudy, of Sand Creek; a daughter, Sharon Shields and her husband, Doug, of Morenci; a brother, LaVon Smith of Whitehouse Station, N.J.; a sister, Maragret Miller of Hart, Mich.; 11 grandchilderen, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with the Rev. James Heffner officiating. Burial will be in Weston Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Morenci.
