About | Of Flint, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2018, at McLaren-Lapeer Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 17, 2018, at 3pm at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan. Visitation 11am Monday until time of the service at the funeral home. Troy was born on May 27, 1972 to parents Edward Woodell and Karen McDonald, in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School where he held National and local powerlifting records. Troy loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing. On any given Sunday you would find him outside grilling with his friends and family. He was best known for his contagious smile, quick wit, and loving personality. Troy was an inspiration to so many people and showed kindness and compassion to everyone that he met. He had a gentle strength that lifted up those around him and was happiest when around his family. Troy leaves behind so many wonderful memories to cherish. He is survived by his adoring children, Lyssa Woodell, Auston Woodell, Korey Ezell (Trista), Noelle Steele (Brett) William Tholken (Meghan); his fiance, Erika Cooper; stepchildren, Logan Cooper, Tyler Cooper, Alexandra Cooper; his beloved grandchildren Jaylin, Eli, Edward, Aubri; his mother and step-father Karen and Michael McDonald; siblings Ryan (Christy) Woodell, Brad Woodell, Brian (Kim) Woodell, and Christina (Mark) Andoni; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends too many to count. Troy was preceded in death by his wife, Tina and his father Edward Woodell.
