| About | David J. Hall, 66, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at his home. David was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Austin to Howard and Viola Hall. He was a graduate of Austin High School, attended Austin Community College and Minnesota Bible College. David worked at Hormel and also the Census Bureau and election polls. David was a sports fan and throughout his life attended Austin High School sporting events. For years he helped coach his church softball team. David was an avid reader, especially on the subject of American history. He enjoyed genealogy research and collected music albums. Survivors include his brother, Richard (Helen) Hall; sisters, Carol Hall and Mary (Donald Green) Owen; nieces, Stacey Sorenson and Lindsay Hall; and great nephew, Hunter Sorenson. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Mayer Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at a reception following the service at Mayer Funeral Home. |
