Georgia Lee McClary, 60, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at her parents’ home in Austin. She was born Jan. 8, 1953, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Donald and Marcine (Lukes) McClary. A 1971 graduate of Austin High School, Georgia received her associate degree in Business and Accounting from Clark College in Washington state. After working several years as a bookkeeper, Georgia returned to Austin in 2011, to be near her family. She was an active member of AA, and enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. Survivors include her parents Donald and Marcine McClary of Austin; her son Jason (Kelli) McClary of Eagan; grandchildren Griffin, Jocelyn, Scarlet, and Zander; her grandmother Loretta Prantner of Austin; sisters Jackie (Ray) Custer, Dawn Buxton, Patty (Jim) Schafer, Jill (Dan) Van Hooser, all of Austin; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen and Irene McClary and Milo Prantner; her brother-in-law Byron Buxton. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Rev. Dr. Stephen DeFor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
