| About | LaRae Ruth Olson, Age: 50, of Walker, Minn., died Sunday, July 6, 2003, in a snorkeling accident.She was born Feb. 21, 1953, in Austin, Minn., to Raymond and Caroline (Lee) Olson. She grew up and attended school in Austin and, after graduating from high school, she attended barber school. She loved to hike, sail, bike and do many outdoor activities. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and was a gifted photographer. She liked getting to know her customers and friends. She was a beautiful woman who died on a beautiful day doing something she loved while surrounded by the people she loved. She is survived by her mother, Caroline Olson (Robert) Lyngen of Hackensack; three sisters, Ronda (Lee) Westlund of Marengo, Wis., Dawn (Tony) Peterson of Hackensack and Amy (Dan) Edens of Bemidji; boyfriend Daniel Blesi of Walker; one stepson, Lee Whiteneck of Battle Lake; 13 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Olson, and her brother, Van Olson. |
