| About | AUSTIN -- The funeral for Michael L. Bawek will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, with the Rev. James Mikkelson officiating. Mr. Bawek, 52 of Austin, died Friday (Dec. 12, 2003) at Austin Medical Center. He was born Nov. 10, 1951, in Rochester. He graduated from Austin High School and attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis. He lived in Florida and California, where he was self-employed before returning to the Austin area. He was employed in city maintenance for the city of Maplewood. He married Diane Harrington on June 18, 1987. He was a member of Maplewood Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed computers, carpentry and motorcycling with his daughter. Survivors include a daughter, Haylie Jo Bawek of Austin; two stepsons, Don (Kim) Nystel of Austin and Dustin (Molly) Nystel of Rochester; his father, LuVern Bawek of Austin; brothers Terry (Sherrie) of Waltham, Steve (Lori) of Round Rock, Texas, Mark of LaFayette, Colo., Dan of Austin, Jeff (Jane) of Albert Lea and Richard of St. Paul; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. |
