About | John Ledoux ~ 3/8/1959 – 5/10/10 John Martin LeDoux Jr., 51 of Wrenshall passed away on May 10, 2010 at home. He was born on March 8, 1959 in Lawton, OK to John and Lynnette (Koval) LeDoux. After John's birth, his parents moved back to the Minnesota area and resided in Duluth. He graduated from Denfeld Senior High School in 1977, and from there enlisted in the United States Army where he made many longtime friends and obtained many outstanding achievement awards. Following the Army, he returned home to Duluth and lived with his mother for a short time until he found employment at A.D.I.; where again he met many friends because he was such a likeable person. The company was eventually bought out in 1982 and he found himself moving to southern Minnesota-Albert Lea which is where he met his wife Renae. He often said "It was the luckiest day of my life moving south and meeting and marrying the woman of my dreams". He continued to work for this company for a total of 20 years until it started to bother his breathing and his health. He resigned his position in 2000 and had planned on taking off approximately 2 years to start to feel better. In between this time, John and Renae had tried to conceive children but were unable to, so since they both loved animals, especially dogs, that seemed the obvious choice. With the help from John's brother Dean and his wife Sarah, they took John to pick out a Sheltie puppy for Renae and John was so happy that he gave Renae the dog of her dreams. Then approximately 1 1/2 years later, while walking Tony, they found a black lab mix and she was the apple of John's eye. Sammy passed away in 2000 and he was never the same as he took her death very hard. Tony passed away in 2004, which John also took very hard as all of his children had passed. In 2002 they moved to the Wrenshall area, where John proceeded to renovate his grandparents (LeDoux) home, but this too, took a toll on his life. In 2008, he was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in his back and it began making its way through his entire body. Not a day went by that he didn't have any pain. We thought that having our newest canine family, Duncan and Franka, would help and it did help to brighten his eyes, but his pain just ran too deep. We had 2 very special poems that we would say to each other often: "The best love is the kind that weakens the soul and makes us reach for more. That plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds". "If I had but an hour of love, if that be all that is given to me, an hour of love upon this earth, I would give my love to thee". He was preceded in death by his grandparents LeRoy and Lucille LeDoux, Kelly and Aurelia Koval; special canine children Tony and Sammy. John is survived by his wife Renae; mother-in-law Ardis Walderon; his father John (Diane); his mother Lynnette (Don) Koval; siblings Debi (Ted) Holl, Dean (Sarah) and Dawn (Corey) Job; sisters-in-law Pam (Wes) Kramer, Becky (Willy) Williams and Debbie Johnson; nieces; nephews and other relatives. John was also survived by his two very special canine children Duncan and Franka. |
