About Kevin R. Hadley, 41, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, in his fiance's home in Duluth, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born in Duluth Sept. 20, 1958, to Robert and Ethel (Cornett) Hadley. He was a 1977 Denfeld High School graduate and went on to attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth and University of Wisconsin-Superior. Kevin was employed in the circulation department of the Duluth News-Tribune for 13 years. He also worked for Manpower in numerous area businesses. Kevin loved racing and worked at Proctor Speedway directing parking for 23 years.

He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir and played on a volleyball league. He helped install the church pipe organ in 1991. Kevin had several ''adopted mothers'' at Elim. He was also a member of the Euclid Masonic Lodge and Demolay and reached the level of chevalier.

Kevin enjoyed fishing. Kevin will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel, who died Aug. 7, 1993.

Kevin is survived by his father, Robert Hadley, a resident of the waters of Park Point (formerly Park Point Manor); a brother, Sylvan Metcalf of Baltimore, Md.; his fiance, Teresa Differding of Duluth; and Teresa's daughters Christine (Dan) Jackson of Saginaw and Sharlene Differding of Duluth. We will miss his smile and sense of humor.
