Matthew (born Feb. 28, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN) passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI at the age of 29. Those cherishing his memory are his mother, Diana: his brother, Shane; his sister, Crystal; and many other family members & friends. In high school, Matt participated in computer club his freshman year and worked at G's Super Valu. He achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from St. Cloud State University in 1993 and worked as a security guard while there. His love of trains brought him to graduate from Johnson Community College for conductor training. Matt was employed as a conductor for Wisconsin Central Railroad since August 1998 and resided in Duluth, MN. Matt enjoyed golfing, fishing and racquetball. He had a wide array of musical interests including Metallica, Journey, Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon and a variety of other groups. Matt was a big movie buff and Star Wars fan. He was the best son, brother and friend. His sense of humor never ceased to bring a smile to faces. Matt's strength and wisdom will forever be present in the hearts of everyone who loved him. |
