Keith French was born February 23, 1951 in Mora, Minnesota to parents Virgil and Irma (Ellison) French. He died August 23, 2007 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 56 years and 6 months. Keith was raised in Minnesota graduating from Minnetonka High School in 1969. He married Terri Blumer in March 1974. Keith worked at Leisure Sports in Alcester, Fireball Decals in Centerville, Boyer Sand & Rock in Hawarden, Sioux Tools in Sioux City, Tendaire in Beresford and Load King in Elk Point. He received his A.S. degree through National College in Rapid City in 1988. Keith was a member of Viborg United Methodist Church. He liked to play cards including pinochle, visiting with friends, spending time on the computer and doing puzzles. Keith loved old cars and motorcycles and he played guitar and enjoyed the blues. He was an animal lover and liked fishing and hunting. Keith is survived by his daughter, Wendy French of Clear Lake, SD and her boyfriend Kenny Wells of Watertown, SD; three brothers, Kenny (Nancy) French of Minnetonka, MN, Dennis (Joanne) French of Tonka Bay, MN and Gary French of St. Paul, MN; four sisters, Janet Thompson and her special friend Bruce Johnson of Richfield, MN, Shirley (John) Leebens of Excelsior, MN, Mary Jane Strommer of Minnetonka and JoAnn (Curt) Watkins of Rosemont, MN; and several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. |
