Joe was a shy, quiet, unassuming young man who was an extremely hard worker with a number of talents and interests. He was a graduate of Mounds View High School and the University of St. Thomas with a degree in biology. Joe worked as a scientist after graduation. He had a very busy social life. Joe was a member of Braden Lodge #168 and the Scottish Rite where he could be found on holidays preparing meals for the men in the Masonic Home.
