| About | Melvyn R. Budke, age 66, of Edina, died suddenly on May 17, 2004. Preceded in death by parents, Rev. Ezra & Della Budke. Survived by loving wife, Elaine, three daughters and families, step-mother Shirley Budke, three step-sisters, two step-brothers and families; special aunt, Helen Sinell; dear cousins & many other relatives & friends. Mel was a loving & supportive husband, father & grandfather. He enjoyed fishing & the outdoors but was especially known as a people person. Mel served the United Methodist Church for 42 years as an Ordained Minister serving tthe following appointments: 1962-Waterville, Cannonville, & Morristown; 1967- St Paul Hope; 1974- Faribault Hope & Prairieville; 1981-Thief River Falls; 1987-Lake Harriet from where he retired in 1999. Since retirement he served as an Assistant Director for the Werness Brothers Funeral Home. Mel was a member of the Lions Club for 42 years. |
