About | Priscilla Jean Jones, 45, of Gulfport, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 12, 2008.Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. this evening at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 10587 Auto Mall Parkway in D’Iberville.Born in Laurel, she graduated from Northeast Jones High School. There she played the flute in the band for four years. She later attended Jones County Junior College in Ellisville and Edward Waters in Jacksonville, Fla., where she majored in Accounting.Priscilla moved to Gulfport in 1985 and was employed at Hancock Bank for nearly 15 years. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of D’Iberville where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir until her health began to fail her. She was a wonderful mother, daughter and friend. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.She was preceded death by her father, Percy L. Jones.Survivors include her mother, Mittie J. Jones of Laurel; her son, Frank Dejzon Jones of Gulfport; her daughter, Lotonjia Shire Jones of Gulfport; brothers, Percy Jones Jr., Terry (Melissa) Jones, and Quincy Jones, all of Laurel; and her sister, Patricia Jones Watson of Gulfport.Visitation will began at 6 p.m. at the church. Her Homegoing Celebration will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Morning Star AME Church, 274 Friendship Road in Laurel.
