Ronald D. Warrick, 64, Rogersville, passed away in his home, at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005, surrounded by his family. He was born February 16, 1941, in Silverton, Ozark County, Mo., the son of Albert Basil Warrick and Wanda L. Miler. He was united in marriage to Cathy Boes on February 4, 1964, in Ava. Ron was a mathematics teacher for over 38 years, serving at Glendale High School for 31 years before retiring in 1999. Recognized as one of the truly outstanding teachers in this area, his unsurpassed ability to effectively teach the widest range of students won him respect and admiration of both his students and colleagues. He was an avid float fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a longtime Boy Scout Leader, serving as Scout Master of Troop 46, Rogersville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Lawrence Haynes; and a daughter, April Warrick. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cathy; son, Bryan Warrick, Fordland; two daughters, Beth Warrick, Fayetteville, Ark., and Alyssa Warrick, Rogersville; a stepmother, Edith Warrick, Branson; three half-brothers, Ricky Warrick, Davenport, Iowa, Larry Haynes, Tulsa, Okla., and Mark Haynes, Branson; two uncles, Joe Miller and Lawrence "Boog" Miller, both of Ava; special cousins, Billie Blair, Springfield, Karen Cotham, Thayer, Carryl Brown, Gainesville, Connie Holobaugh, Ava, and Gib Miller, Ava; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, in J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, at the corner of Hwy 60 and Farm Road 223, West of Rogersville. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, South of Rogersville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in the funeral home. Springfield News-Leader, March 29, 2005. |
