Adam Prescott McBurnie, 41 of Springfield, Mo, went to be with the Lord after a valiant fight with cancer, on January 1, 2011 at 8:45 p.m. His unwavering faith was an inspiration and encouragement to all those who encountered him on his journey. Adam was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. While he enjoyed fast cars, playing golf, and watching sports, his true passion was spending time with his loving wife and his girls which were his greatest accomplishment. Adam attended Hillcrest High School, Evangel University, and Central Bible College where he played basketball and met and married the love of his life. Adam is survived by his wife, Terri Jett McBurnie; three daughters, Maddison 17, Makensie 15, and Mallori 5. He is also survived by his mother, Connie McBurnie; his father, Kevin McBurnie; a sister, Heather McBurnie Ryan and her husband, Travis; and his father and mother-in-law, Terry and Pat Jett and numerous extended family. A private memorial service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McBurnie Memorial Fund at AGCU PO Box 2328 Springfield, MO 65801.
