About | Allen Kent Jones, age 52 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away June 6, 2018 at Tri-Star Medical Center in Hendersonville. He was born Sept. 12, 1965 to Glenn W. and Loudean O. Abernathy Jones. Allen grew up in the Crump/Lake Girardeau area and as a child, attended Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1983 and attended Linn State Technical College near Jefferson City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn W. Jones in 1973 and a sister, Sharon George in 2015. Survivors include a son, Glenn A. (Amber) Jones of Hendersonville and their infant son, Warren; his mother, Loudean Jones-Case of Jackson; a sister, Carolyn (Victor) Burns of Jackson and daughters, Brittany and Brandi; a brother-in-law, Larry George of Columbia, Missouri and daughters, Anna and Aron; a sister, Donna (Don) Livingston, of Burfordville and sons, Garret and Eston; three great-nieces; seven great-nephews and a great-great-nephew. Allen loved his aunts, uncles and cousins, too numerous to mention. We all wish Allen had more time with us, but Allen was truly a happy man when he passed. He had just returned from his dream vacation to Egypt and his son and family had recently moved to Tennessee and lived nearby. Allen had lots of plans for the future but we know that God had another plan. Allen was a man of faith. He loved Jesus and was a serious student of God’s Word. Go rest High on that Mountain and play music with your Dad that you missed so much. Maybe sit in on a jam session with Bill Monroe. Send everyone in Heaven our love. We will all be together soon. A memorial service was held at Bethlehem General Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family appreciates memorial contributions to the family to assist with Allen's funeral expenses (for your convenience, click on "Appeal for Donations" in the green box under Allen's picture.
