About | David Randolph Barse November 1, 1952 - June 13, 2013 Barse David Randolph Barse, age 60, passed away at his beloved home in Marion, Texas on Thursday, June 13, 2013. David was born November 1, 1952, in Camp Polk, Louisiana to parents George R. and Faye Barse. His childhood began in Irving, Texas. The family subsequently moved several times as he grew up, with good memories from Shreveport, Louisiana; Dallas, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Kirkwood, Missouri. David graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1970, and later moved to San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from Trinity University in the spring of 1976. After graduation, he became a buyer for Mrs. Alison's Cookies in St. Louis, Missouri. He returned to San Antonio in 1978, where his larger-than-life personality fueled his success. He began selling life insurance with his father, and later established his own insurance and investment agency, Barse Financial Group, in 1989. His business prospered, due to his hard work and devotion to his clients. David passionately loved international travel, fine dining, and wildlife. He was preceded in death by his father, G. Robert Barse. He is survived by his mother, Faye Clamp; brother, George Barse, and sister-in-law, Susan Sturrock; nieces, Melisse Barse and Maria Sturrock; nephew, George Barse; and good friend, Donna Basse. David's passing will be mourned, and he will be missed by family, clients, and friends across the country. David's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to American Heart Association, Audubon Society, Sierra Club, or other charity of your choice. |
