About |
Our loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin left this world for a better place on April 26, 2007. Gregory (Greg) D. Waters was the first of five children born to Charles and Geraldine Waters. Greg was born in Frankfurt, Germany on Aug. 15, 1960. He grew up living in many locations throughout the world because his father was in the military. He graduated from high school in Waynesville, Mo. in 1978 and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was commissioned as an officer in the Idaho Army National Guard upon completion of the ROTC program and chose aviation as his career field. He became a Huey helicopter pilot and later transitioned to the Blackhawk helicopter. He enjoyed a 25 year career with the National Guard and was still an active member of the Guard. Greg and Angela Hale were married Nov. 29, 1997. Their union brought them a son, Bryce, to fulfill their dreams. Bryce meant the world to Greg and he involved himself with Bryce's activities as much as he could. Greg and Bryce shared many special times together, including scouting, snowboarding, motocross riding, camping, and fishing. Greg loved photography, painting, sketching and creating different works of art. Family members walls are adorned with artwork that he created. He was always putting his personal touches on even the simplest of things turning them into beautiful works of art. In addition to his love of creating art Greg thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the mountains which is why he made his home in Garden Valley over 17 years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hiking, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and all outdoor activities. Greg´s nature was warm and kind. He would help anyone who needed a hand without any hesitation or second thought. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his family. In addition to his wife and son Greg leaves behind his parents Charles and Geraldine Waters, his brothers; Mike (Brenda)Waters, Glenn (Dana) Waters, sisters Debbie (Angus) Bampton, Denise Trepagnier, Aunt and Uncle Mike and Judy Mohler, cousin Marne (Mike) Carter, his mother-in-law Kai Weber, and Angela's family. Greg made his nieces and nephews feel very special and spent quality time with each one of them: Jennifer, Michael, Jace, Caitlin, Collin, Samantha, Lindsay, and Bailey. Greg was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Shelvis and Cleo Bivin and paternal grandparents Bobbie and Harley Waters. |
