| About | Sarah Martha "Marty" Leib Blankenship passed on to paradise on August 24, 2011. She was born December 19, 1939 at Jane Chinn Hospital in Webb City, Missouri, the second daughter of Arthur Walter "Woggie" Leib and Merion (Locke) Leib. She was the former wife of Cecil Lynn Blankenship. Marty graduated from Webb City High School in 1958. She was active in the Webb City Area Genealogical Society, the Webb City Nutrition Center and was past historian for the Central United Methodist Church in Webb City. A long time lover of the printed word, she was a past employee at the Webb City Sentinel and Wise Buyer. Marty accepted Jesus as her savior and walked beside him all her days. Marty is survived by four daughters, a grand daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren: daughter Sarah Blankenship and granddaughter Dylan Kingsley of Kansas City, KS; daughter Lara Shaw and son-in-law Justin of Lincoln, NE; daughter Julia Blankenship, son-in-law Joel Thornton and grandchildren: Grace, Mason and Ava all of Tallahassee, FL; daughter Jane Guarino and son-in-law, Robert, grandson Clayton, great grandson Cassius, all of Neosho, MO; and grandson Adam Richey, grand daughter-in-law, Raygen and great grandson Griffin of Jacksonville, NC. She was preceded in death by her sister, Julia Anne Leib Ory b 20 July 1931 d 6 May, 1988 The cremains are to be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery in the Snow-Leib family plot. |
