Dorth adored her lifelong friends from Webster Groves! She maintained contact with them throughout her life and cherished those special friends. Looking through the Echo after her death, Dorth's children found several friends addressed her as "the swellest girl"! Dorth lived each day fully, meeting each challenge head on with her unwavering optimism and love. She died surrounded by family in Colorado Springs as a result of complications from a stroke. In her lifelong tradition of helping others, skin tissue was recovered from Dorth after her death so that others could benefit from her organ donation. A few weeks before her passing Dorth had a full day with 17 family members highlighted by holding and awe struck by her fifth great grandchild. |
