About | Laura died in 2007 after a long battle with R.A and a very short battle with Lung Cancer. Laura developed an interest in radio with KDNA back in 1967 in Gaslight Square. When the neighborhood started to burn up, Laura, who was then the VP of KDNA, took her proceeds from the sale of the airwave and moved to California. There she started another radio station and became very well-known as a pioneer in cowboy tunes from the past to present. Nicknamed, "Miss American Pie" by her loyal followers, Laura loved her music, her daughter Elsie, her horse, Mac and Frank. She had a wonderful house at the base of a mountain and the edge of a eucalyptus field. There was a black mission fig tree in the front yard that went great with a strong cup of coffee in the morning. We had such great memories that we loved to talk about from highschool... I encourage all who knew and loved her to google her on the net and read about all of the accomplishments she achieved in her short lifespan of just 57 years.....I miss her every day....
