During the last few years of employment, she worked for Missouri Baptist, Lutheran Senior Services and the Children’s Home Society of Missouri serving nursing home clients and children with developmental disabilities. During her career, Sandra also utilized Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch (energy-based therapies) to help the moms, and newborn babies she worked with at Deaconess Hospital. As a result of her passion for energy-based therapies, Sandra started her own part-time business as an energy therapist in Webster Groves Missouri in 2004. After they married, Gordon was enlisted in Vietnam 1967 to 1970 and they moved to Germany where she volunteered as a Brownie Leader, was part of the hostess club and helped new moms with their babies. Though this relationship was not permanent, they did have 2 children together and remained friends afterwards. Sandra was kind, caring and compassionate to all who came to know her. She loved spending time with family and friends, taking walks, reading Danielle Steele, sharing stories about her time in Germany, listening to Barry Manilow and Olivia Newton John, and having dinners at Red Lobster, Applebee's and Steak and Shake.
