About | Steven Wayne Ward, 42, of, Hamilton passed away Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. Steve was born May 18, 1960 in Helena and was raised and educated in Hamilton. In his younger years Steve enjoyed roller-skating, and during high school he played football and was a member of the ski club. Steve graduated from Dawson Community College in Glendive with an associate's degree in sociology and law enforcement. He entered the U.S. Army and served in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. He served in a MASH unit and was discharged in 1991 shortly after the war. Following his discharge he worked as a field service technician for Sterris in Seattle, where he installed and serviced medical equipment. In 1993 he was transferred to the Western Montana region where he worked until his health caused him to stop working. Survivors include his daughter, Kassandra Dodson of Bozeman; son, Justin Ward of Hamilton; parents, Jack and Della Ward of Hamilton; sisters, Lorri Brown of Helena and Beth (Cliff) Eggleston of Hamilton; nieces, Mandy and Wendy Brown and Tiffany, Amy and Rachelle Eggleston. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew; brother, Jason and all his grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery with military honors presented by the Marine Corps League - Detachment 937 and the Hamilton American Legion. The family suggests memorials to the Jason K.
